WARRANTY TRANSFER POLICY

OVERVIEW
This Policy sets out the terms and conditions for transferring ownership of Redkey USB hardware products and the associated warranty and support rights. This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and Warranty, Returns and Refunds Policy.
SECTION 1: SCOPE AND DEFINITIONS
1.1 Scope
This Policy applies to all transfers of ownership for genuine Redkey USB hardware products purchased directly from Redkey USB Ltd or authorised resellers.
1.2 Definitions
"Business Day" means any day other than Saturday, Sunday, or a public holiday in England and Wales.
"Original Owner" means the person or entity that originally purchased the Redkey product from Redkey USB Ltd or an authorised reseller.
"New Owner" means the person or entity acquiring ownership of a Redkey product from the Original Owner.
"Redkey Product" means genuine Redkey USB hardware devices including but not limited to Redkey USB data erasure devices.
"Serial Number" means the unique 20-digit identifier assigned to each Redkey Product, typically beginning with 20180, 34183, or 48112.
"Transfer Code" means the unique code issued by Redkey USB Ltd to facilitate ownership transfer.
"Warranty Period" means the applicable warranty period as set out in our Warranty, Returns and Refunds Policy.
SECTION 2: TRANSFER ELIGIBILITY
2.1 Eligible Products
Warranty transfer applies only to:
(a) genuine Redkey USB hardware products;
(b) products purchased directly from Redkey USB Ltd or authorised resellers;
(c) products with valid, unaltered serial numbers; and
(d) products not reported lost, stolen, or fraudulent.
2.2 Ineligible Products
Warranty transfer does not apply to:
(a) counterfeit or non-genuine products;
(b) products with removed, altered, or tampered serial numbers;
(c) products purchased from unauthorised sellers;
(d) products reported lost or stolen; and
(e) products where the Original Owner has breached our Terms of Service.
SECTION 3: TRANSFER PROCESS
3.1 Initiation by Original Owner
To transfer ownership, the Original Owner must:
(a) complete the Warranty Transfer Request form on our website (below);
(b) provide the Redkey Product serial number;
(c) provide current ownership details (name, organisation if applicable, email);
(d) provide New Owner details (name, organisation if applicable, email);
(e) accept our Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement; and
(f) submit the request for approval.
3.2 Verification
Upon receipt of a transfer request, we will:
(a) verify the serial number and original purchase details;
(b) confirm the product is eligible for transfer;
(c) conduct security checks to prevent fraud; and
(d) request additional information if purchase was made indirectly.
3.3 Transfer Code Issuance
If the request is approved:
(a) we will issue a Transfer Code to the Original Owner;
(b) the Original Owner must provide this code to the New Owner; and
(c) the Transfer Code is valid for a single use and expires 90 days from issuance.
3.4 Acceptance by New Owner
To complete the transfer, the New Owner must:
(a) visit our Warranty Transfer page;
(b) select "Redeem Transfer Code";
(c) enter the Transfer Code provided by the Original Owner;
(d) provide their contact details;
(e) accept our Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement; and
(f) submit the redemption request.
3.5 Transfer Completion
Upon successful redemption:
(a) ownership is transferred to the New Owner in our records;
(b) warranty and support rights are transferred to the New Owner;
(c) the New Owner may make warranty claims subject to our Warranty, Returns and Refunds Policy; and
(d) confirmation is sent to both parties.
SECTION 4: EMAIL UPDATES
4.1 Email Update Requests
Current owners may request to update the email address associated with their Redkey Product without transferring ownership.
4.2 Process
To update the associated email:
(a) complete the Warranty Transfer Request form (below);
(b) select "Update Email Address" as the request type;
(c) provide serial number and current ownership details;
(d) provide the new email address; and
(e) submit the request for approval.
4.3 Verification
We will verify ownership before updating the email address. Once approved, all future communications will be sent to the new email address.
SECTION 5: INDIRECT PURCHASES
5.1 Procurement Company Purchases
If you obtained your Redkey Product through a procurement company or other indirect source:
(a) the procurement company may assist with the transfer process;
(b) alternatively, you may complete the transfer using the serial number;
(c) additional verification may be required; and
(d) we will work with you to establish ownership and facilitate transfer.
5.2 Verification Requirements
For indirect purchases, we may require:
(a) proof of purchase or transfer documentation;
(b) serial number verification; and
(c) additional information to establish ownership chain.
SECTION 6: APPROVAL AND REFUSAL
6.1 Approval Criteria
We approve transfer requests where:
(a) the product is genuine and eligible;
(b) ownership can be verified;
(c) all required information is provided;
(d) security checks are satisfied; and
(e) no fraud or misuse is suspected.
6.2 Grounds for Refusal
We may refuse transfer requests where:
(a) the product is counterfeit or ineligible;
(b) serial number is invalid, altered, or tampered with;
(c) ownership cannot be verified;
(d) required information is incomplete or inaccurate;
(e) fraud or security concerns exist; or
(f) the Original Owner has breached our Terms of Service.
6.3 Incomplete Information
If you are unable to provide required information to support your application, we will not be able to proceed with your request. Completeness and accuracy are essential for security and integrity.
SECTION 7: TRANSFER EFFECTS
7.1 Warranty Transfer
Upon successful transfer:
(a) remaining Warranty Period transfers to New Owner;
(b) extended support eligibility transfers (where applicable); and
(c) New Owner may make claims per our Warranty, Returns and Refunds Policy.
7.2 Support Rights
The New Owner:
(a) is entitled to technical support for the transferred product;
(b) must comply with our Terms of Service and EULA; and
(c) must use their registered email for support requests.
7.3 Original Owner Obligations
After transfer:
(a) Original Owner no longer has warranty or support rights for the product;
(b) Original Owner must not represent themselves as the owner; and
(c) Original Owner must provide all necessary information to New Owner.
SECTION 8: PROCESSING TIMES
8.1 Standard Processing
We aim to respond to and complete transfers within 3 Business Days of receiving a complete request.
8.2 Delays
Processing may take longer where:
(a) additional verification is required;
(b) information provided is incomplete;
(c) security concerns require investigation; or
(d) high volume of requests is received.
8.3 Status Updates

SECTION 9: FEES
9.1 No Transfer Fee
Redkey USB Ltd does not charge a fee for warranty transfer.
9.2 Associated Costs
Parties are responsible for their own costs in connection with transfer including:
(a) shipping costs if physical return is required; and
(b) any taxes or duties applicable to the sale/transfer.
SECTION 10: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
10.1 Our Liability
Our liability for transfer processing is limited to the correct administration of the transfer process. We are not liable for:
(a) disputes between Original Owner and New Owner;
(b) loss or damage occurring during shipping between parties;
(c) misrepresentation by either party; or
(d) consequential losses arising from transfer.
10.2 No Warranty Extension
Transfer does not extend or renew the original Warranty Period. The New Owner receives only the remaining unexpired warranty period.

This Policy is governed by English law. For jurisdiction and dispute resolution, see our Terms of Service.
SECTION 12: CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version is available on our website. Material changes will be notified to registered owners.
