How It Works
Redkey is a reusable bootable USB that securely erases whole disks. Here is an overview of the usual process, from preparing Redkey to reviewing the final result. The exact screens and options vary depending on the mode and edition you use.
Stage 1
Prepare Redkey
After purchase, connect Redkey to a Windows computer to activate it and install the latest software.
Stage 2
Start from Redkey
Connect Redkey to the computer containing the disk you want to erase, then start the computer from the USB. Redkey runs independently of the installed operating system.
Stage 3
Choose How to Erase
Choose a guided, automatic or advanced process, using Wipe Wizard, AutoNuke or Advanced Mode.
Stage 4
Select & Erase
Where required, select the disk or disks to erase. Redkey then securely erases them and verifies the result where supported.
Stage 5
Review & Report
Check the final result on screen. Professional and Ultimate can also create a PDF report or certificate for your records.
