Warranty Policy
1. 2-Year Return to Base Warranty
Redkey USB Ltd warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of purchase. If a defect is found within this period, we will repair or replace the product at no charge. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the product to us for inspection. We will cover the cost of returning the item to the customer. However, if the product is found to be functional or the issue is due to customer misuse, deliberate abuse of the warranty process, or other related reasons, the customer will bear the cost of both sending the item to us and returning it.
2. 10-Year Extended Return to Base Warranty
Redkey USB Ltd offers an extended warranty for the period from two (2) years to ten (10) years from the date of purchase. If a defect is found within this period, we will repair or replace the product at no charge. The replacement might be a used item in good condition rather than a brand new one. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with sending the product to us for inspection and for shipping the replacement product back to them, even if the product is deemed faulty.
3. Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Redkey USB Ltd or authorized e-commerce platforms. It does not cover non-Redkey USB Ltd products, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by misuse, abuse, or modification. Additionally, this policy does not apply to sales made on the crowdfunding platform Makuake for Japan during 2022 and 2023, which have a separate scheme.
4. No Other Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, this warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties. Redkey USB Ltd disclaims any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. If implied warranties cannot be disclaimed, they are limited to the duration of this warranty. No reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modifications to this warranty.
5. Damages Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Redkey USB Ltd is not liable for direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, including any costs of replacing personal property or recovering data.
6. Consumer Protection
This warranty provides the customer with specific legal rights, and they may also have other rights under consumer protection laws in their country. Where permissible, Redkey USB Ltd's liability is limited to the replacement or repair of the product.
7. Obtaining Warranty Service
To make a warranty claim, the customer should submit a request on our contact page with their original order number and Redkey serial number, selecting "Warranty" as the reason. Please ensure the product is securely packaged to prevent any damage during transit.

9. Retrospective Warranty Coverage
Our warranty policy was not in force for our crowdfunding campaigns up until Version 4 in 2022. However, we have retrospectively applied this policy to all sales, including crowdfunding sales. Therefore, all Redkey products are now covered as of June 2024, retroactively effective from the start of our business in March 2018.
10. Policy Effective Date
This policy comes into effect immediately upon purchase.
11. Policy Distinction
This warranty policy is separate from our 30-day money-back guarantee policy.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and is designed to provide peace of mind and ensure customer satisfaction.
